The rain is pouring down and wind billowing about the tops of trees. All Minttu wants to do is go outside and play! Instead we went to the kitchen and made some Macaroons! Since Minttu is from France, it seemed very appropriate. I have never tasted macaroons so I had no idea what they were meant to taste like, but by golly! They were delicious. Chewy, coconutty goodness!

I created a whole new outfit for Minttu! She's been moaning about not having any nice clothes which aren't passed down from my Barbies. So I fashioned a dress from some lace bits, a felt jacket an a pair of tights (I got the pattern for the two from "Darling Blythe"). She was mighty happy about them :D
I finally caved in and bought myself a Blythe Doll! Ever since I saw them, I've wanted one but I always wanted Samedi Marche but she was so expensive! But then they made Samedi Marche Encore and I could finally afford her (barely)! And then she finally arrived...in these pictures my sister's Blythe, Lumi, is helping me open the package (warning, there are a lot of pictures!).

This is my sister's Blythe Lumi (meaning snow in Finnish), she's a Silver Snow. And she's wearing a skirt I made for her! I've never made skirts for dolls before so I'm quite proud of it! Although if you were able to look closely the stiching is pretty awful.
Phew all this morning I was working on making 200 zines for The Sampler. I am so glad I bought a paper cutter cos that would ahve been torturous to cut them out by hand.
