I haven't posted anything I've done for uni, so now that the semester is over (thank god!) Here are the good ones :P I did lots of other stuff which is either a)irrelevant or b)horrible

I had to create a double page spread illustration from a children's book. I chose "Amy at the Bakery", one of my favourite books as a child. In this scene they are all running down the street, took me ages trying to get the running right as well as the placement of Amy and the pram :P
Medium - ink
Now that I look at it more, parts of it is wonky and needs fixing :P

This one I had to create an illustration to accompany a poem about circus elephants - how they 'hold hands' by holding each other's tails.
The colours ended up darker than I wanted but since I had to do this in a day (I had so many assignments that this one ended up being shunted to the side too much!) I couldn't be bothered to fix it, I would have run out of time otherwise :P
Mediums - acrylics, colour pencil
I quite like this one :D unfortunately I only got 80% D: it's always my lack of research and development that let me down. Must try to do more of it next semester!!

This is for an ad for a fabric softener. The clouds are meant to be a metaphor for how soft it makes fabrics.
Man, this baby came out so darn cute :DDDD I just want to pinch it's cheeks XD

I've seen this meme a few times and thought to do it....except I haven't really changed since I was a teen! I'm so boring I never went through phases of goth or punk or slut etc. At the start of highschool I had no style and it took me a while to learn (my highschool had no uniform so I had to learn quick!). I remember no one wore kids clothes, they wore more 'grown up' stuff and looked trendy...and there I was in my farmer girl shirt lol I wasn't even one of those arty students who wore cool outfits! I just wore jeans and a tshirt in my later years. Although now that I think about it I went through a phase of doing crazy hairstyles every day when I was about 14 I think. But that's about as different as I got :P I bet you once I'm 33 I'll STILL look the same :D
I did a wonderful package swap with Diana and these are the things I made for her :D
ATC's

I couldn't be bothered to scan so sorry for the crappy quality! I did them with copic markers and a little bit of coloured pencil then stamped the name of the animal in the background with silver ink (which I found in the parking lot of a store, what a find!). The last animal to the right is meant to be a sloth...lol it looks nothing like a sloth!
Kangaroo

Made from felt! One of her legs wasn't stuffed very well so she kept falling over ;_; Maybe her baby is so fat that she has trouble standing XD I really like how the kangaroo came out! I made the pattern myself :D If I make any more I must stuff the legs very firmly!

I got my hair cut!!! I have BANGS now omg, haven't had them since I was about 5 cos I thought it wouldn't suit me but I went for the plunge and I really like them :D It's a change from my usual hair which I've aaaalways had.

I'm part of a club on DeviantArt called "Children's Illustrator" Club and every month they have a theme. This month was 'Odd Forest'
My interpretation features my character called Tilly (Matilda) who has leukemia. I can't remember how the story I made up goes but she somehow goes into an alternate world or something so yeah...:D I went for a different way of colouring to what I normally do by reducing my colour palette....actually to be honest I was just being lazy and went "Reduce colour palette! It will look so awesome and 'arty farty' but will take me like 30mins to colour! YAY!"

My last project for illustration class at uni. The task was to create your own brief - mine was that a stationary company wanted an illustration featuring a cat that would span the front and back cover of a notebook. I used acrylics and oil pastels. I'm so happy with this and my teacher said it was fantastic so I expect a really good mark hehe.

This is the result of my first assignment for Illustration class at uni. The task was to create a watercolour painting depicting a couple lines from a poem or a song. I chose a poem called "Nancy and the Rabbit" by Roger Harkness (I randomly found it on the internet - I wanted to paint a rabbit so I googled any poems about rabbits :P). The lines I used:
"But wouldn't you know it
A flying rabbit can't live in a cage"
I still need to work on the painting some more, it doesn't have enough depth - I'm really bad at watercolours >_<;

These are a couple birthday cards I made for some friends :D I used copic markers and then coloured over the top with watercolour pencils. I've been thinking about using these designs on some upcoming bags, but I hardly have any time to just sit down and sew some bags up. I've got the bags cut out but not time to do them ;_; I've also got illustration friday pics to put up but haven't had the time to scan them in. I need more time!!!
Uni homework status: 1 down, 4 to go plus another 6 more in the near future...O_O

YAY my scanner did not die on me thank god! I was worried I would have to buy a new one DX I just had to reinstall the driver and it was all good :D I'll slot the pictures in randomly throughout this post which will be about the hospital!
( Mmm Crohn's... )
